Dear Husband,
Undoubtedly, you’ve become even more handsome than you were a year ago. Thanks to those gym sessions, the right sleeping habits and the diet chart that you hand over to me every week. I make sure that I prepare the meals and snacks just as your chart says. Some ingredients are new to me and I don’t really know how to use them right. You want me to weigh your food so that you consume it in the right quantities. At times, I think that you behave nuts about this fitness thing. But then, I act like an understanding partner. After all, we promised to be with each other in sickness and health. Well, I’m not sure which phase this is – sickness or health! But I got your back, honey.
Your face has become chiseled and you’ve shed that extra fat. You look perfect. Your mirror selfies from the gym are so sexy that I resent those girls in the background. Why on earth were they looking at you? Tell them you’re married.
But now here’s the main thing. I’m really concerned about your diet rigidity and how you’ve become totally dependent on those proteins. I know that I’m not a very knowledgeable person in this matter but I do know about the importance of a balanced diet from the Science lessons in school. If you’re healthy and fit, I’m the happiest. But don’t you think that you’ve made it all about looks? I know you better than that mirror in our dressing room. That thing’s misguiding you, my love.
I’m concerned when you can’t lie down straight because of those hefty exercises. I become anxious when you don’t eat roti for days. Carbs aren’t that bad, baby. Last Thursday, you said that you don’t feel well enough to go to the office. Let me tell you the reason – that salad dinner on Wednesday didn’t make you full. But oh God, how could you exceed that calorie count? I want you to be the healthiest but don’t make it all about looks. I want you to stay healthy from within. Give your body every nutrient it needs. Do I make sense? I hope I do. Love and health,
Your Wife
